2024 Megavertebrates Anesthesia Workshop is held by Leofoo Village Theme Park and Chuang Foo Foundation in Taiwan.

 

Leofoo Village Theme Park has been dedicating towards wildlife conservation for decades, and our most renowned achievement is the success of Southern white rhinocero reproduction of more than 10 offspring born in the safari park of Leofoo Village Theme Park. In 2021, we successfully exported a female white rhino to Tobu Zoo, Japan for rhino conservation.

 

This year, we invited international zoo and wildlife specialists to come to Taiwan for a series of anesthetic courses and hands-on opportunities of megavertebrate species. For the first two days, speakers would present courses focusing on knowledge of wildlife anesthesia basics and anesthetic techniques of various species, including rhinoceros, hippopotamus, giraffes, wild bovines and more. For the following days, field demonstration and hands-on opportunities would take place in the safari park. You will have the chance to work with international specialists, and acquire invaluable experiences in zoo medicine.
